Ahmedabad Computer Market Guide: Sandesh Press Road vs Relief Road (Best PC Shops, Laptop Repair & Wholesale Prices)

Why Ahmedabad is the IT Hardware Capital of Western India

When students, tech entrepreneurs, graphic designers, or corporate IT procurement heads need to buy a computer in Gujarat, one city stands far above the rest: Ahmedabad. Often called the "Nehru Place of Gujarat," Ahmedabad houses hundreds of authorized hardware distributors, direct factory importers, and specialized custom PC assemblers who supply IT equipment across Saurashtra, North Gujarat, and Central Gujarat.

Whether you need a lightweight laptop for university studies, a high-octane 4K gaming and rendering rig, or bulk commercial desktops for a corporate office on SG Highway, navigating Ahmedabad's IT markets can save you between 15% and 30% compared to online e-commerce portals. In this definitive INSIDZ buyer guide, we deconstruct the two undisputed tech capitals of the city: Sandesh Press Road and Relief Road.

Hub #1: Sandesh Press Road & Bodakdev (The Modern Tech Avenue)

Located in the affluent western sector near Vastrapur and Bodakdev, Sandesh Press Road has evolved over the past two decades into Ahmedabad's premier high-end computer high street. Unlike the narrow, chaotic lanes of the old city, this zone offers air-conditioned flagship stores, spacious experiential gaming zones, and direct brand-authorized experience centers.

Top Specialties of Sandesh Press Road:

• Custom Rig Building: Home to Gujarat's most recognized PC modders. Enthusiasts can select exact combinations of Intel Core Ultra / AMD Ryzen processors, NVIDIA RTX 4080/4090 GPUs, liquid cooling AIOs, and tempered glass ARGB cabinets.
• Authorized Brand Outlets: Direct brand stores for Asus ROG, Dell Exclusive Store, HP World, Lenovo Legion, and Acer Predator line the avenue within a 1-kilometer radius.
• On-the-Spot Testing & Warranty: Dealers assemble systems in front of customers, run real-time Cinebench and 3DMark thermal stress tests, and provide immediate manufacturer-backed GST invoices.

Hub #2: Relief Road (The Legendary Wholesale IT Bazaar)

Situated in the historic heart of Ahmedabad near Kalupur Railway Station, Relief Road is where commercial IT hardware business in Gujarat was born. Stretching from the historic Electricity House to Relief Cinema, commercial complexes like Central Plaza, Advance Cinema Market, and City Centre house multi-story warrens of IT wholesalers.

Top Specialties of Relief Road:

• Wholesale & B2B Rates: If you are buying computer components in quantity—such as 20 monitors for a coaching institute, networking CAT-6 cables, CCTV surveillance systems, or POS billing machines—Relief Road pricing cannot be beaten anywhere in Western India.
• Refurbished & Corporate Second-Hand Laptops: Multi-national corporations regularly cycle off-lease Dell Latitude, Lenovo ThinkPad, and HP EliteBook machines. Relief Road dealers refurbish these business-grade laptops with brand-new SSDs and RAM, selling them at ₹14,000 to ₹26,000 with 6-month shop warranties.
• Chip-Level Micro-Soldering: When official service centers refuse to fix a water-damaged motherboard and demand ₹30,000 for replacement, master technicians on Relief Road repair microscopic ICs and BIOS chips for ₹1,500 to ₹3,500.
